FIELDMAX

Optimal reconsolidation for high-yield soils

Field rollers ranging from 2.5 m to 12.2 m for even soil contact, flexibility, and high area coverage

The KNOCHE FIELDMAX is the field and grassland roller designed to meet the highest standards in soil reconsolidation. Whether it’s achieving optimal soil compaction in the seedbed, breaking up crusts caused by waterlogging, sealing voids to keep out snails and voles, creating a surface crumble structure, or rolling down seeds that have frozen deep into the soil in the spring: The versatile KNOCHE FIELDMAX arable and grassland roller is an indispensable tool for cultivation and soil preparation

With a working width of 2.5 m

The rigid FIELDMAX models with working widths of 2.50 m and 3.0 m are available as mounted implements with either a front or rear frame. This combined frame can be mounted either rigidly at the rear or steered at the front of the tractor. Whether it’s a Cambridge ring, star ring, or crosskill ring, all rings can be fitted. A hydraulically adjustable crossbar can also be installed.

Over 5.2 m working width, folded forward or backward

The mounted FIELDMAX 450 or 520 models serve as the ideal link between mounted and trailed machines. The rollers are available as mounted machines with a front and rear frame. This combined frame can be operated either as a rigid unit at the rear or as a steerable unit at the front of the tractor.

up to 12.2 m working width

With a working width of up to 12.2 m, the FIELDMAX rollers deliver tremendous area coverage and efficiency. All machines are equipped with a double pendulum joint on the folding arm, allowing the rollers to always adapt optimally to the soil.

Cambridge ring

The classic Cambridge ring, with a diameter of 510 mm, has proven itself in field rollers for decades. This ring design is universally suitable for use on nearly all types of farmland and also on grassland. The KNOCHE Cambridge ring, with its special profile, is characterized by the fact that it leaves a wavy pattern in the soil, thereby reducing the risk of erosion. Consequently, no smooth furrow is formed in the field soil. The Cambridge ring is additionally mounted on the shaft with a serrated cleaning ring. The serrated cleaning ring not only ensures effective cleaning even in cohesive soils but also promotes a good crumb effect by breaking up clods. The action of the Cambridge ring leaves a very fine structure in the topsoil, which creates a fine-crumbed seedbed. This seedbed, in turn, ensures good germination conditions and optimal crop emergence.

star ring

In recent years, the star ring has become increasingly popular. This ring is characterized by a serrated profile. The star ring is ideal for seedbed preparation. This special profile is capable of leaving a coarser soil structure. Furthermore, this ring shape has the decisive advantage of sorting clods within the soil structure. As a result, the seedbed is fine-textured and sufficiently compacted at the bottom, while the top layer remains coarsely textured. This effect offers significant advantages in terms of soil warming, gas exchange, and—above all—precipitation absorption. This helps effectively prevent soil compaction following heavy rain. Star rings are also ideal for breaking up such crusts that form after winter.

crosskill ring

The crosskill ring is a specialized ring designed for specific requirements. Whether for vegetable cultivation in the heavy Rhine Valley, sugar beet cultivation on clay soils, or as an alternative for an effective crumb effect, this ring—with its “cutting” cams—offers the advantage of causing less deep compaction. This reduces the risk of soil silting and increases the soil’s water absorption. The ring’s crumbling performance is significantly higher than that of other rings. This effect also increases with higher speeds.

FIELDMAX 620 - The All-Around Performer

Our best-selling model is the FIELDMAX 620. It features a simple yet extremely robust and therefore durable design. The machine can now also be equipped ex works with a lower link attachment and, optionally, with Individual operating permit documents for road transport at 40 km/h.
